Bio // Friends Only

Salutations,
You have somehow reached the personal blog of Christoph Blecker. This journal is Friends Only, but please feel free to read my bio.

I'm a 21 year old Network Analyst working for a large internetwork service provider, in beautiful downtown Vancouver. You can find a list of my professional designations on my professional blog, here.

I love gaming, but I'm not usually the greatest at it. However, I love LAN parties and attend them whenever possible. I also have a passion for programming, although I don't have the same time to invest in it as when I was in High School. I'm fluent in HTML, PHP, SQL, Actionscript, and VB. I tend to dable in other languages as well, time permitting.

Being raised with computers influenced my passion for learning and extending my knowledge in everything technology. I've done everything from network LAN Party's with hundreds of gamers, to things as simple as building my own "rig".

My favourite games include the entire Half-Life series, as well as the Splinter Cell series by Tom Clancy. Favorite TV shows include Star Trek (nerd, right? duh), Undergrads, Family Guy, Doctor Who, Torchwood and Robot Chicken.

I have a deep rooted passion for music of all types. I played in classical and jazz band programs for 7 years (Trumpet & Baritone). I have an appreciation for most music, no matter what genre, or even if I really like it at all. I listen to everything from classical and jazz, to hip hop, rap, country, electronica, or rock.

I'm also a former Support Administrator for LiveJournal.com. I used to administer the Mobile Features category, where LiveJournal users come to report issues or ask questions about connecting to LiveJournal Services from a mobile device. I do my best to help all LiveJournal users, even ones trying to connect to a Web 2.0 site with a phone that looks straight out of the 1980s. It was a good gig, while I did it and I still love this site deeply.

I also hate the term "Web 2.0" and promise never to use it on this site again.

I'm a very open person, so feel free to ask me any question. If I not able to, or don't wish to answer you, I have no problem telling you to sod off.
